Eva Carla is a Spanish multidisciplinary artist currently living in Guangzhou (Canton), China. Born in the Mediterranean city of Valencia, in 1983, she has developed a career in the fashion industry. During her junior years Eva realized she had something especial with flowers, as she always ended up buying more floral patterned fabric than the necessary for her projects. She has worked for several design studios creating fabrics for well-known Spanish fashion companies. Today, Eva continues to do freelance work for textile studios around the world.
In 2013, following her partner, Eva moved to the US, where she obtained a Certificate in Botanical Art and Illustration from the Corcoran School at George Washington University. In her botanical work, Eva portrays a sensorial, sometimes surreal, intimate world. Models’ presence fills the space, surrounding and captivating viewer's attention.
Member of the American Society of Botanical Artists and the Botanical Art Society of the National Capital Region, her work has been exhibited at Brookside Gardens, MD, and during several ASBA’s Annual Conference. She feels honored and grateful for all the private collectors who are supporting her along the growing path, opening the walls of their houses and offices to her paintings, drawings and photographs, sharing the love for all things botanical with her.
